RULES OF DIVISIBILITY - There are cool tricks to help decide what a number can be divided by without having a remainder. These rules also help to determine if a number is PRIME (only has two factors) or COMPOSITE (has more than two factors). Here are the rules:

Divisible by 2 - If the dividend ends with an even number or zero, you can divide it by two.
Divisible by 3 - Add the digits in the dividend. If the sum is divisible by three, then the whole dividend is divisible by three.
Divisible by 4 - If the last two digits of the dividend are divisible by 4, then the whole dividend is divisible by 4.
Divisible by 5 - If the dividend ends in zero or five, you can divide by five.
Divisible by 6 - If the dividend can be divided by both two and three, you can also divide it by six.
Divisible by 7 - Double the last digit of the dividend, then subtract that from the first several digits of the dividend (not including the last digit). If the answer is 0 or divisible by 7, then the dividend can be divided by seven. (dividend=672   double the 2 equals 4. Subtract 4 from 67 to get 63. 63 is divisible by seven, so the whole dividend is divisible by seven.)
Divisible by 8 - If the last three digits of the dividend are divisible by eight, then the whole dividend is divisible by eight.
Divisible by 9 - If the sum of the dividend's digits is divisible by nine, then the whole dividend is divisible by 9.
Divisible by 10 - If the dividend ends in a zero, then you can divide by 10.
Divisible by 12 - If the dividend is divisible by both three and four, it is divisible by 12.
